There are many voices in our world claiming to speak for God (or even claiming there is no God to listen to). That’s inevitable in a world such as ours. It’s no less the case here (Burlington County, NJ) given all of the pluaralism living is such close proximity. Of course, as Christians we believe that Jesus Christ was and is the expression of the mind and heart of God, and that the inspired and affirming words of Scripture are trustworthy to guide us to live in ways that please God. Even if we believe that, we often struggle to understand God’s plan and purpose. That’s something it might be nice to know, so we’re going to devote this winter cycle to wrestling with this topic. We’re going to use the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Ephesians as the basis for this discussion because it was written for this very purpose. Here’s some good news: we don’t have to sit in the dark on important spiritual matters.
